Our Regular Services

PSYCHOTHERAPY FOR INDIVIDUALS, GROUPS AND FAMILIES

We commit, with you, to either time-limited or open-ended sessions, usually lasting 50 minutes at a time, on a regular basis. This will be negotiated at the outset, and the approach, regularity and timescale are dependant on your goals and personal circumstances.

Our approach draws on systemic, cognitive-behavioural, psychodynamic, psychoanalytic, humanistic and integrative therapies.

Individual_Therapy

PSYCHOTHERAPY WITH EMDR (FOR INDIVIDUALS, GROUPS AND FAMILIES)

We commit, with you, to regular sessions, usually lasting one and a half hours at a time. This model of work is highly recommended for the treatment of psychological trauma and a broad range of other issues.

"EMDR is like a searchlight that finds and activates the frozen fragments of one’s memory of a trauma and allows one to bring together and weave a more coherent, wholesome and historical narrative of the experience."

INTENSIVE INTERVENTIONS FOR INDIVIDUALS, GROUPS and families, ON EITHER A RESIDENTIAL OR A NON-RESIDENTIAL BASIS

These interventions are particularly helpful for the helping professions to address burnout, vicarious trauma and compassion fatigue.

We commit, with you, to a block of consecutive days to focus exclusively on the issues you wish to address and resolve. This is in addition to, or instead of, weekly sessions. Intensive interventions can be conducted on a residential basis at Paradise Farmhouse or on a non-residential basis.

We aim to prioritise those unable to access or afford therapy. Most of the adults who come to us are self-referrals. Our main service users are school children and frontline staff from different care and public services who wish to heal from burnout and work on burnout prevention.

We prioritise prevention; we provide self-regulating techniques, resource building and replenishment, symptom management and healing from trauma.

We are also supporting the R- & G-TEP International Faculty with trainings that they are providing for therapists across Europe and the UK. These therapists are being trained to deliver Elan Shapiro’s Protocols that target recent or ongoing traumatic experiences, both with individuals (R-TEP) and with groups (G-TEP).

Timings & Costs

Our Fees

Individual sessions normally last 50 minutes (£90) and family sessions 1½ hours (£140), depending on income.

We want counselling to be as accessible as possible, while also making sure we can sustain our practice. For this reason, we offer a sliding scale of fees.

The idea is simple: you choose the rate that best reflects your current financial situation. There’s no need to justify or provide proof — we trust you to know what feels manageable. Paying at a higher tier helps us sustain our services, and where possible offer reduced-fee spaces to those who need them.

£90 per session

For people who feel financially secure. Covering your basic needs is comfortable, and you may have money left for savings, travel, leisure, or other non-essentials. You might also have access to support from an employer or other resources.

£75 per session

For people who manage essentials but would feel stretched by paying the full rate. You may have dependents, moderate debt, or limited disposable income, and you don’t receive funding support from elsewhere.

£60 per session

For people under financial pressure. You may have a lower income, little or no savings, or be receiving benefits. Paying more would make counselling difficult to access right now.

Please choose the rate that feels right for you and contact us to discuss.
